Book a Scientist

For all those, who are curious and thirsty for knowledge, the upcoming "Book a Scientist" event on November 10, 2021, is an exciting offer: Book your exclusive, virtual conversation with Leibniz scientists! In personal conversations, the researchers will provide insight into their topics and everyday work, answer your individual questions and look forward to exchanging ideas with you.

What influence do siblings have on children's education and development? How does compulsory insurance help against flood hazards? Why does citizen participation create more acceptance? What should be considered when trading stocks via smartphone? And how does an Italian astrophysicist cook scientific carbonara?

Also taking part is food4future partner Maria Fitzner from the Leibniz Institute of Vegetable and Ornamental Crops (IGZ). The PhD student will provide insights into the research on future foods from the perspective of a food chemist.

"Book a Scientist" gives the chance to spend 25 minutes exclusively and in private with an expert from the Leibniz Association and ask everything you've always wanted to know about your favorite topic.

To reserve a call, send an email to veranstaltungen@leibniz-gemeinschaft.de with your name, chosen topic and desired time slot (please note that some scientists only offer bookings in German). You will receive a confirmation email whether the appointment is still available. You are welcome to send us one or two questions that you are particularly interested in regarding the chosen topic. The offer is free of charge. The talks take place virtually.
